Litigation Legal Assistant
Location: Dallas, TX (Uptown)
Schedule: Full-Time | In-Office with Hybrid Flexibility
Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits
A highly respected and growing Texas-based law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support a busy civil litigation practice in its Dallas office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative, professional environment supporting attorneys handling sophisticated litigation matters.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide litigation support to multiple attorneys and manage competing deadlines
- Draft, format, proofread, and assist with preparation of pleadings, motions, discovery, subpoenas, briefs, and correspondence
- Coordinate court filings in state and federal courts, including e-filing
- Maintain and organize case files and legal documentation
- Prepare hearing, mediation, deposition, and trial materials
- Coordinate calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and court appearances
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and vendors
- Assist with billing, expense reports, and administrative support functions
- Manage confidential information with professionalism and discretion
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of civil litigation legal assistant experience required
- Strong knowledge of Texas state and federal court procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Word formatting
- Experience preparing Tables of Contents and Tables of Authorities preferred
- Familiarity with document management and case management software is a plus
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
